The person behind the name
The Shinawi Institute is founded by Jamil Shinawi, a deep-tech entrepreneur and investor who has spent his career building the technologies shaping this transformation.
He is founder and CEO of AHOY, which builds the operational layer for Physical AI: real-time systems running cities, utilities, transport, and telecom infrastructure.
Since 2018, AHOY has grown from research to production, surpassing $100M in revenue with 330x growth in five years.
That same conviction, that technology must serve humanity, not the other way around, is what led Jamil to establish the Shinawi Institute.
